We are introducing a number of changes in order to keep the shop running and food available whilst looking after our staff and maintaining a calm, safe, clean environment.
We are also limiting the number of customers in the shop at any one time, for everyone’s wellbeing. Please help us by sending just one household member in to do the shopping, rather than coming in pairs or families, and being patient if you have to wait in a queue outside.
Once you’re in the shop, please move through as quickly as you can and if at all possible, pay by card.
What we’re asking of you...
There may be some stock gaps over the next few weeks, but plenty of fish is still arriving daily and transport is running fine. We need to work together to keep basic ingredients available for the many.
Many people in our community cannot afford to stockpile. We need to look after the vulnerable and less affluent more than ever. Please feel free to buy your weekly shop but not to strip the shelves of essentials others need.
If you know of elderly or vulnerable people in our community, please think about whether you can offer to help them out with shopping or other essential needs. We’ve got a big box of postcards in the shop to drop round to neighbours or anyone you think may be isolated right now. We don’t have the capacity, systems or vehicles to offer delivery but we’ll also be working on ways we might be able to help folk who will struggle.
Please follow government advice on self-isolating, and do not come to the shop if you are unwell.
Take care 👍 X 🐠
